I have a flea problem. Can someone give me advice?

So, just recently, my mom got a stray cat, and it had fleas. She soon got rid of the cat, and all of the fleas jumped on us. So far I've gotten about a 130 bites, and we've literally tried everything to get rid of them. We tried bug bombs, we tried spraying stuff all of the appartment and vacuming, but they're still here, and we are both really tired of dealing with them. Are there any cheap, but not to cheap where they don't get the job done, proffessionals who could get rid of them?
