The KJV is not clear about the tense of the word "sin" in the Greek. A more accurate translation would be, "For if we continually sin willfully..." The idea is that, if all our sin continues after "salvation" the same way it did before, we were never truly saved. However, if you do get saved, sin will become undesirable to you, and you will slowly drop sins from your life.
