I found a fledgling bird I think?

Well I think its a fledgling. It has all its feathers. My cat almost killed it so that's how it my papaw found it. But I don't know if I should just leave it be or bring it in? Its dark outside and its kinda cool outside. Its nestled in a spot on the ground now. There are a lot of stray cats in my area so that's a problem for it. What should I do? When will the mom be back to feed it? Thanks.
